Party Games for Children

1. Nobody Likes You

Two 'captains' are chosen on a basis of popularity. The captains take turns choosing their friends until only one child is left. The rest of the children point to the unpicked child and sing out 'nobody likes you!'

2. Short Man Out

Line the children up in a row ranging from tallest to shortest. The child who is the shortest has to sit alone in the closet for the rest of the day.

3. Press Your Head Into My Crotch

Have the children pair up according to how many letters they have in common in their last names. Each pair of children takes turns pressing their heads into each other's crotches. If there are an odd number of children then the odd child attempts to press his head into his own crotch.

4. Break The Skin

Two children compete in this game. Each child is given a variety of sharp objects, such as syringes, broken glass and razor blades. The first child to break the other's skin wins.

5. Eye Spy

Each child is given a needle. The children take turns attempting to place the point of the needle as close to another child's eyeball as possible without touching it. If a needle touches an eyeball, the child holding the needle is disqualified.

6. Talk To Strangers

A group of children are taken to an unfamiliar public place and told to try and make friends with strangers. Points are given to each child who manages to make at least one new adult friend. Extra points are given to children who can get into a car with their new friend.

7. Dead Parents

This is a good game to play while the children are playing another game. All adults in the room suddenly fall to the floor and lie very still, failing to respond to prods and cries from their children. The game is over when the children lose interest and start playing another game.

8. Drink the Colored Water

A standard young adult's chemistry set is needed for this game. A number of chemicals, not less than 20 picked at random from the chemistry set, are placed in a box. Each child takes turns picking a chemical from the box while blindfolded. The chemicals picked by the children are then mixed in with a glass of water. After all of the chemicals have been mixed in, the children chant the color of the water in unison while the glass is passed around for each child to drink from.

9. Choker's Bluff

Each child in the group is given a small piece of candy apx. 3/4 inch in diameter. The children put the candy in their mouth's and race around the room in circles. The first child to go all the way around the room 6 times wins. If a child is falling behind, they may pretend to start choking. As the other children become concerned and stop to gather around the choking child, the child darts out ahead of them. Each child can only do this once during the race.

10. Find the Jars of Urine

A group of 10 or more children will need to prepare for this game by spending a few days filling medium sized jars with their own urine. After a child's jar is completely full, the child will need to hide it very well somewhere inside of the house where the game is being played. The game consists of each child trying to find the other children's jars of urine. The child with the most jars at the end of the game wins. If one or more jars are not found throughout the course of the game, the children that hid those jars are not allowed to tell anybody where they are.

11. Bag of Glass

Fill a large glad trash bag with several empty glass bottles. Have a group of children toss it around with their hands, batting it back and forth amongst themselves. The goal of the game is to keep the bag from touching the ground. If it does, it's OK, just have them pick the bag back up and try it again.
